I spent most of this book thinking "Oh god, just get to the fucking point already!"

Just nonstop bullshit about the town, the people, the past. I knew way more about characters that weren't even IN the book than I needed to.

Vince and Sadie don't even have much page time together and it's mostly lame sex scenes and thinking about how they're only friends with benefits. Vince fucked up pretty badly but Sadie let him get away with zero groveling. The side plot shows up at the very end and isn't resolved at all. Not even taking a step towards resolved.

This was a complete waste of time and very frustrating. Everyone I know has rated this 4-5 stars and I feel like I've missed something. Maybe I should head back into the urban fantasy genre.
