Day 28: Favorite book title...
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
I wasn't really sure which way to go with this challenge. Do I pick a title that evokes an emotion or a title that I feel is appropriate? How do you pick a favorite title? I chose this one because a) it's an awesome book, and b) the title is what made me pick it up. At first, I thought it was a typo. The phrase "a discovery of witches" didn't sound right to my brain. But I understood once I read the story. I've reread it numerous times and have gotten a few others to read it. I was quite enthralled in the story for Diana and Matthew, which I only read because the title sounded odd. The sequel was quite a let down, but I'm hoping Harkness can get her shit together for the final book in the trilogy.
On a side note, I've always liked the sound of the title Where the Red Fern Grows, though it's a terribly sad story that I kind of hate. Still, the title is beautiful.
