Day 09: A book I thought I wouldn't like but ended up loving...

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

This was a hard one for me to decide on because I don't read books that I don't think I'll enjoy. It's easy to think you'll like something, then find out that you don't really enjoy it once you've started reading. But why would I think "I am sooo not going to enjoy this, guess I should read it anyway"? I wouldn't. However, after thinking it over, Pride and Prejudice totally fits. I'd known about it forever - who doesn't? - it had just been "one of those famous books" and at the time, I had no interest in historical romances or older books. So it was destined to stay "one of those famous books I'll never bother with". Alas, it was the only free book available one day and I bit the bullet. Ended up loving it. I've read it a dozen times and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith is one of my favorite books ever. I've watched all the movie adaptations, the mini-series, everything. I didn't think I'd like the story, but I loved it - so it fits today's challenge.
