What's her face.. Ashley, that's her name. The heroine. She's overly sensitive and doesn't think very rationally for a lawyer. And her "Oh Stefano!' shit got a little annoying. I felt a little bit of Steel Magnolias coming out. The romance bugged me. While it's not insta-love, it happens so quickly and without substance, that it might as well be.The story could have been really good. I liked the plot, though I felt it was really predictable the way Mona Risk wrote it. I feel like it could have been a great book, but it just fell flat. It felt rushed, the characters weren't developed, and the predictability made it difficult to read without feeling like I was waiting.I definitely didn't enjoy this one as much as the previous book I read by the same author. Since that one was free and this one was only 99 cents, I feel like it balances out.But I still didn't like it all that much.
