I got to chapter 8 and had to shut it down. Is it really that hard to create a character that has at least one redeeming quality? After 8 chapters of Belle being a totally selfish and emotionally stunted bitch from hell, I decided that no amount of supernatural action or steamy sex scenes could be worth continuing. I've read other books by Gena Showalter and I've never disliked one of her characters so much that I couldn't stomach reading more. The reader is supposed to care about the characters and what happens to them. By the end of chapter 7, I just wanted Rome to send Belle off to Vincent to be tortured because I felt like she actually deserved it. This is truly a TSTL character that should have never been written.
