As the first girl to develop boobies in my grade, I really felt for Maddie in this story. Thankfully, nobody spread rumors about me, they just stared. But while I felt for her plight, I also felt like she wallowed in the whole 'always a victim' thing. Nobody in their right mind allows immature boys from high school to determine their place in life as an adult.I honestly don't know how I felt about this book. Part of me liked it, but part of me was frustrated with Maddie. Which would come as a surprise to nobody, since I guess I just hate women or something. I dunno. I really liked Mac, though. He was simply scrumptious and the way he stood up to his mother and handled the people on the island made it clear he was a special kind of alpha male. He made me swoon.I'd...probably recommend this, though I'm not sure who I'd recommend it to at the moment.
