A Cat's Chance in Hell

A Cat's Chance in Hell - Sharon Hannaford I feel like maybe a few authors have all used the same writing prompt: a woman with special powers and an attitude problem has a law enforcement job and falls in love with the leader of vampires while trying to save humanity from something worse than vampires"... And I don't know which came first, but I read Guild Hunter first so I've been comparing them all to that. Not the worst thing in the world.

Anyhow, this book was quite enjoyable. There were some continuity issues that didn't really matter but made me curious. I loved the demons - the author has a great imagination for making up monsters. As I continue the series, I hope to see more of Gabi's crazy cat beast, I'd like to see her relationship with Julius develop, and more of Kyle. I liked Kyle very much. Shame Athena didn't die, though. :p

I'd recommend this book, but let's see how the rest of the series holds up.
