The Prey

The Prey - Allison Brennan I knew who the bad guy was immediately, even before the hints started dropping. I guessed with confidence and was dead on. About everything. This is the second book in a row I've read featuring somebody imprisoned in an insane asylum for a murder they didn't commit.

Mostly I had problems with Rowan, the heroine. She came across as stubborn, weak, and cowardly. But the author tried very hard to convince readers that Rowan is actually determined, smart, and compassionate. I didn't buy it for a second. So I wasn't surprised when she overestimated her abilities. I was just disappointed.

Meh. Overly long with not a single character I connected with. I won't recommend it, but I won't unfriend you for liking it.
