This was a rough start for me and my ADD, with all the POV switches. But I took a nap and tried it again. I ended up really liking it. It was a bit wordy to have all the drama and action and romance happening. I felt like skimming through a lot of the unnecessary bits. And I dunno wtf was up with the frog god and Kateri, that was super confusing and only served to introduce the next book. But the story was twisty and kept me guessing. I'm a bit ambivalent about the romantic pairing.
