Finally nabbed some books that I've been waiting for and looking forward to and one, after another, after another has ended up having a first person present tense narrative. And I can't stand that. I've been slowly getting into first person narratives, but I can't yet handle present tense.

While waiting for some new reads, I decided to do some rereading lately because I want to know if I still like the stories as much as I did the first time. But now I've run out of stories I'm actually interested in seeing if I still like. If that makes any sense at all...

The Falconer by Elizabeth Mays and The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden by Jessica Sorensen are the most recent fails, simply due to the present tense narrative. It grates on my nerves about The Falconer, because I've been waiting for nearly a year for that sucker. So... I need to find something new or I'll have to reread Harry Potter before the group read on the 18th. And I'm not sure even I could handle that much HP.
